The IRMS Executive Committee is looking for an individual to join the
Executive Team in the voluntary role of e-officer.

The successful applicant will be a member of the Society and will
possess a good working knowledge of electronic media systems and the
contemporary electronic media communications landscape. S/he must also
have good IT and communication skills.

 

S/he will work primarily with the Secretary and the Communication and
Content Directors to manage the operations and content of the Society's
website as well as being charged with advising the Exec on technologies
that can benefit the work of the Society.

The successful candidate will also play a full part in the broader work
of the Executive. 

 

Please note that while the role does not carry a vote within the
Executive, that debate within the Exec team is open with the views of
all team members carrying equal value.

 

With regard to time commitment, it is expected that the new e-officer
will be in a position typically to commit to around an hour a week as
well as attending monthly Executive conference calls (of 1 hour's
duration) together with quarterly meetings (typically travelling on a
Sunday to attend the full day meeting on the following day). Travel
expenses will be covered.

should state why they would like to take up this role and what they hope
to offer.  The application should also include a copy of the applicant's
CV.  This in turn should include a summary of the applicant's electronic
media and IT skills and experience.
