You are invited to attend a workshop on 'Preparation and presentation: How to create a successful conference poster' on 8th September 2014 at Canterbury Christ Church University. 


This workshop, sponsored by PsyPAG is free to attend for psychology postgraduates studying in the UK and aims to provide delegates with information about each aspect of the conference poster process from the design and planning state to presentation skills on the day. Please see the attached information sheet for more details concerning the content to be covered on the day.

Poster Presentation Workshop
This workshop aims to provide delegates with information and guidance on each stage of the conference poster process. The workshop will begin with a mini conference role-play during which several successful conference posters will be displayed, some of which have recently won awards. Poster presenters will be present to demonstrate techniques to get passer-by interested in viewing the poster. The workshop will then tackle information relating to the designing of your poster, and typography including the clearest font types, styles and sizes to use. Additional materials to take with you including flyers/business cards will be highlighted, as well as techniques to increase the number of people coming to view your poster on the day. The workshop will end with a poster design master class with a graphic designer present for practical guidance. During the master class, delegates will be introduced to several computer programs they can use to create their poster and have the opportunit
