Dear Colleagues,

On-line Survey of Wellcome Trust “Society Awards” – your views sought

As you may already know the Wellcome Trust is conducting a major independent review of one of its main public engagement grant funding schemes – the Society Award.* Society Awards support projects that encourage the public to explore biomedical science, its impact on society and culture, its historical roots or the ethical questions that it raises. Even if you know little or nothing about these awards your views would be of interest.

We are consulting with a broad range of audiences including both those who have had previous contact with the Wellcome Trust and those which have not but are nevertheless considered part of our target audience. Your time and participation in this study would be very much appreciated. The on-line survey will only take you five minutes or so to complete. This study is being conducted independently by The Susie Fisher Group, a professional research organisation working under the Market Research Code of Conduct.

Wellcome Trust itself will not see any personal, identifiable information about you. And you won’t be re-contacted by anyone as a result of doing this survey unless you specifically ask to be contacted. So to take part in the survey, please click this link:

The closing date for replies is Wednesday 23rd July.

We very much hope you will be willing to take part as your participation is important to us.

Best wishes

Tom Anthony

*Society Awards have a funding range from £30,000 to c£250,000, and there 4-6 such awards made per annum.
