PSCI seems to be full of people bigging up what they are going to do (a 
bit like the Labour Party in the media who are always going to say 
something) but rarely any report of anything actually happening so 
here's some...

Last Friday's session on beetle pheromones took place and we saw the 
use of natural and suynthesised pheremones on two elusive species, 
Elater ferrugineus and the Great Root Borer Prionus coriarius in 
Richmond Park.

Free factoid : the largest beetle (a female Prionus) weighed the same 
as an adult pipistrelle bat.
