Senior Research Associate in Social Research (PRIDE) • REF: RA1086
Full time, fixed-term until 28th February 2019.

£30,728 to £36,661 per annum 

This post, available from August 2014, is offered on a fixed-term basis until 28th February 2019.

This role will support the PRIDE (Promoting Independence in Dementia) ESRC/NIHR-funded Applied Research Programme by helping develop and deliver its qualitative social science/sociological components. The multidisciplinary PRIDE programme aims to promote independence by (1) investigating how social and lifestyle changes may reduce risk of dementia, and understanding the social impact of dementia, in order to (2) develop and evaluate an effective social intervention to enhance independence and quality of life for people with mild dementia and their carers.

Applicants should have a doctoral qualification in a relevant area (e.g. sociology, social research methods) and have experience of qualitative data management and analysis, along with experience of health and social care research, and project management of complex and multi-site studies.
