medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear all,

Another query, which could perhaps be forwarded to art historians and/or archaeologists. I know that enameled crosses were produced in Limoges, France, and exported throughout Europe. Does anyone know of recent studies of these crosses, or other areas where similar items might have been produced? In particular, I'd be interested in any connection with Ireland (real or imagined).
