Working to support Professor Andrew Hoskins on his AHRC Research Fellowship: ‘Technologies of memory and archival regimes: War diaries before and after the connective turn', the Research Assistant/Associate will be based at The National Archives, Kew to undertake a six month full-time investigation of the impact of digital change on the cultural memory practices and the 'official' record of the British Army's unit operational reports ('war diaries’).

The post holder will conduct an ethnography (oral history interviews, public interviews, on-site observations) of the organisational memory of TNA focused on diary archives, and a comparative linguistic profiling of the content of diaries.
