Dear All,

As many of you may know, a few weeks ago, The Guardian decided to stop its Media Talk podcast. However, the producer - Matt Hill - has launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund a new version. The new "The Media Podcast" has many of the same guests, the same producer and the same content and analysis, it is however not affiliated with The Guardian. So far the team have produced five new 30 minute podcast episodes. The final one is due online tomorrow I believe. The Kickstarter campaign is aiming to reach £9000 in total, this will be enough to fund it for an entire year. The campaign must reach £9000 by tomorrow - current total stands at £6468

If, like me, you have found the Guardian Media Talk podcast an invaluable and interesting resource, then please consider funding this new venture. In a world of corporate media, phone hacking and the general threats to journalism, I think an independently produced weekly podcast devoted to the very subject[s] we concern ourselves with is vitally important.

See here for details:

Apologies for the funding call. I have no affiliation with this venture whatsoever, I just find it an excellent resource, and want to see it continue. I hope I have not broken any list rules. It is certainly "on topic"

Best wishes all

Chris
