and *Girlfriends and Postfeminist Sisterhood* (Alison Winch) book launch

The Open University in London, Camden

Room 2

1-11 Hawley Crescent

London NW1 8NP

30 July 2014

2-5pm

In what ways do the media represent, intervene in, exploit and enable
intimate relations? This afternoon event explores mediated intimacies in
the form of girls' online friendships, sex advice, dating apps, porn, the
affect of branded cultures, among others.

Rather than giving formal presentations speakers will talk on work in
progress in order to open up discussion. Speakers include: Feona Attwood,
Meg John Barker, Laura Harvey, Jessalynn Keller, Rachel O'Neill, Jessica
Ringrose and Alison Winch.

The event is free but please RVSP via Eventbrite so we have an idea of
numbers.
