I am looking for an experienced GIS technical consultant for up to one month's engagement, preferably minimum 4 days a week to start as soon as possible, working on the migration from ArcGIS 9.1.3 to 10.2. For the right candidate there may be the potential to extend to work on further GIS project work. £170 - £220 per day dependent on experience.

Essential

·         Working knowledge of the full ESRI product stack (ArcGIS) for migration of data from version 9.1.3 to 10.2, and from Oracle to Microsoft SQL  - including client and server capabilities from an advanced user and preferably developer perspective.

·         Application integration testing and troubleshooting for spatial data

·         Reconfiguration of all Map Documents for internal and external web service use

·         Good Cartographic skills with ArcGIS desktop

·         Familiar with security models for ArcGIS Server management of users and data.

·         Working knowledge of the ESRI Local View Fusion public templates and the reconfiguration of templates on the later version.

·         Attention to detail and a strong understanding of the UK Metadata standards and the open data publication requirements of the Inspire Directive and the implementation of these on the ESRI ArcGIS catalogue.

·         Experienced in Ordnance Survey and business data resource conversion between native and proprietary files types, including but not exhaustive gml, gmz, ESRI shp, Mapinfo tab,  AutoCAD.

·         Strong problem solving abilities

·         Good use of verbal and written English

Desirable

·         Good Cartographic skills with MapInfo Professional

·         Strong aptitude with client and web development using Python, Javascript, C#.NET

·         Experience of design and deployment of geospatial web applications

·         Experience of other geospatial software including open source

·         Experience of implementing desktop/server based geospatial software

·         Experience of troubleshooting geospatial systems

·         Experience of geospatial research activities and writing concise reports
