First Notice: Ineson Lecture 2014: Hydrocarbon Threats to Groundwater

Convened by IAH British Chapter and the Hydrogeological Group of the Geological Society.

 A day of presentations focusing on evolving hydrocarbon threats to groundwater related to hydrocarbon exploitation and use – to include conventional and innovative hydrocarbon oils, shale gas and oil sands.

The Ineson Lecture 2014 will be presented by Professor Jim F. Barker from the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, University of Waterloo, Canada: From BTEX and fuel additives and Borden to Canada’s oils sands: evolving hydrocarbon threats to groundwater

Supporting speakers from industry, regulation and research fields in the UK will discuss further aspects of hydrocarbons and groundwater.

Fee: £20 IAH and/or GeolSoc members; £50 non-members; £10 students (includes evening wine reception).
