Subject: 8 lions and an umbrella, in French....! - new event at the Pank
To: Rachel Lappin <[log in to unmask]>

Hi All

This is just to let you all know about a new course that started last week and is running, from the Pankhurst Centre, on Monday evenings (6-7pm) for the next 7 weeks. The course is entitled Huit Lions et un Parapluie, or for those of us who are slightly than fluent in French(..!!) 8 Lions and an Umbrella.

Rather than just learning French in the ‘traditional’ way though, this course will help us to learn the language using the Pankhurst family as the focus, whilst also considering the architectural lions that lie all around us but that most of us probably never see, and also the little-known umbrella trade in Manchester; a true history tour whilst we learn French!

It is a great opportunity to learn or brush up on language skills - and in the unique venue that is our wonderful Pankhurst Centre, former home of course to the Pankhurst family!

The sessions are £5 each, or just £3.50 if you bring some goodies along with you – see the attached flyer for details..

Please feel free to circulate this email, and / or to print the flyers off and give them to anyone you think may be interested, or to Tweet details of the event via Twitter or other social media sites.

Just for info, this course is women-only.

Thanks

Rachel
