Dear all

Following feedback from staff and students, we are considering amending our standard template for course creation so that the entry page is a module page (rather than 'announcements' as at present).

However, colleagues in ICT have expressed concern that this will have a negative impact on overall performance because of the time taken to build the modules with dynamic content (e.g. What's New)

I'd be interested to know the experiences of other institutions:

- Do you use a module page as the standard course entry point?

- If so, does this have any impact on page loading times?

Many thanks
Andy
