We have 2014 on our Staging server and will be updated over the weekend. It's our normal procedure. We have a somewhat automated mangling of the language pack that I'm told is going to to be "tidied up and written up".....

Subject: Blackboard upgrades and open education

Hallo all

We are also going through the testing of April 2014 release for Blackboard on a staging server and hope to go live at the end of July. It would really be quite interesting to find out how many UK and Irish institutions are doing the same.

At the same time, we have been given access to Blackboard's Open Education platform to run a limited online event based on Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014. It's our first venture into using an open platform and also a new experience for Blackboard themselves.

If you want to find out more for you own interest and that of your institution, please feel free to enrol at https://openeducation.blackboard.com/gcu . The actual online activity will open on 16 July and finish on 8 August using GCU Games On as its title.

Now back to the staging server testing plan.....

All the best
