A London University Library is looking for a temporary Map cataloguer to catalogue a prominent collection of historic maps within an automated environment to international standards. The post will also involve allied tasks associated with a retro-conversion project for other archival maps, as well as interesting opportunities to promote the map collections to a wider audience. An Archive, Library or equivalent qualification, and experience cataloguing to international standards is considered essential. Knowledge and experience of map cataloguing is highly desirable as is some familiarity with cataloguing software (preferably archival). This full-time post is available on a fixed-term contract for 35 days from date of appointment.
