A position is available for a Data Analyst within the Product Test team in the area of diabetes. Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings.
The Data Analyst will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
• Provide support to Product Test when and where appropriate.
• Perform and verify standard data input and analysis (including the investigation of errors within data).
• Perform data entry, verification and reporting of performance monitoring data.
• Perform software installation qualification tests.
• Perform testing of SAS applications.
• Assist in maintaining databases. Perform regular archiving of the data files on the network.
The Data Analyst must have the following skills and experience:
• Good mathematical ability (A-Level or Degree)
• Good demonstrable numerical ability.
• Must be accurate and organised in work approach and have good attention to detail in order to ensure that data and analyses are accurate and meet the requirements of the project.
• Must have good oral communication skills to be able to provide management with feedback on development needs and report and present progress.
• Must have a good understanding of using a PC and associated Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team.
