Bioinformatician – Germany Permanent - Office Based - €40-50,000 A drug discovery organisation based in Central Germany is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a Bioinformatician to help shape and develop a new group. This role would be ideal for a PhD graduate in Bioinformatics or for a Bioinformatician with 1-2 years experience in a similar role. The company are focused on innovative product approaches with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. With hundreds of employees in Europe and the US, the groups are currently supporting some of the biggest names in the industry providing the high quality and integrated solutions. Focused on the analysis of large high throughput screening and omics data sets, the group are looking for a Bioinformatician with an interest in finding and validating potential targets for medical treatment in different therapeutic areas. Responsibilities: · Analysis of biological datasets such as proteomics/transcriptomics · Continuous development of relevant software tools · Conducting statistical analysis of in vitro and in vivo pharmacology data · Using image analysis procedures (script development) for the exploration of high-dimensionality datasets · Interact closely with researchers from various teams to support drug development efforts Experience Required: · Educated to Master/Diploma/PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Informatics or Biology · Strong programming skills in at least two scripting languages; Java, JavaScript, Perl, R, Python · Expertise working with bioinformatics tools and understanding of common bioinformatics algorithms · Excellent motivation, keen to develop and enthusiastic Please contact Jade at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or call +44 121 616 3472 for more information on this role or any other Bioinformatics vacancies in the UK and Europe!
