While it is not western Asia, western Mongolia  at this time had the Pazyryk culture, with its numerous horse burials that probably had cultural ties into western Asia.  It might be of interest.

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Ritual contexts from 6-4th centuries BC

Dear Zooarchers,
I am interested in publications on faunal remains of ritualistic nature (or any other "unique" context) dated to the 6-4th centuries BC, from anywhere in Western Asia.
I would be grateful if anyone could point me to such publications.
Best,
Lidar
