Dear all Sorry that I couldn't make the meeting yesterday to discuss the BIS consultation. Feedback that I have received from MRC and other sources is that BIS are looking for substantive responses from large communities. You may wish to consider whether one response would be more effective than submission of two responses from the one community. Regarding equipment sharing I can provide information on how the Science and Engineering South consortium are sharing facilities and equipment data. It might also be worth referencing any imaging case studies (e.g. Bath?) which are being included in the Diamond report coordinated by Sarah Jackson at N8. I attach the list of MRC next gen optical microscopy award holders should you need to contact PIs.
