Between the Lines: Right to be forgotten — or rewrite history?

What happens to privacy and reputation when a community’s newspaper of
record is no longer archived solely on newsprint?

It was one thing when finding a record of someone’s appearance in the
police log meant going down to the newspaper office or local library and
pulling out the bound volumes or microfilm rolls.

But with newspapers, magazines and government records now archived
electronically, search engines like Google can retrieve them in an instant
from anywhere with an Internet connection.
