We are seeking an experienced Records Manager to develop, promote and effectively manage our Records Management function.

As Records Manager, you are responsible for: strategic planning of records management, archives and local studies, managing staff and budgets and assist in the development and delivery of the North Lanarkshire Council’s corporate electronic records and document management system. You will also manage subject access and freedom of information requests.

To succeed in the role, you should be educated to degree level, hold a relevant Records Management / Archive Administration post-graduate qualification, or equivalent, and possess relevant experience in an archive or records management setting including demonstrable experience of electronic document and records management systems.

You must also be able to demonstrate practical experience of advising and managing complex subject access and freedom of information requests, managing and leading a team as well as budget control and monitoring.

You will be confident and articulate with excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and be able to travel throughout the North Lanarkshire area as required.
