This reference gives no detail about the whereabouts of the book, or of the history of such practices. Do any of you have any knowledge of pre-Reformation books that were bound with human skin (or even had a leaf or more with such a substance)? I have wondered if this were ever done with the skin of a saint, thus creating a sort of bookish relic.
