On behalf of the Radio Journal: International Studies in Broadcast and Audio Media, we welcome nominations, or self-nominations, for the roles of Editor and members of the Editorial Board. Nominations should be sent to [log in to unmask] by 27th June 2014. You can also contact the current editor at this address to ask any questions you may have about the roles and editorial processes.

The Editor must first be members of the editorial board, so the roles will be elected in a two-stage process. Firstly, the present Editorial Board members will elect additional members to refresh and renew the international team who guide the journal’s editorial policy, and then the new board will elect an Editor from its members. Because of this the roles of Editor and Editorial Board member are notable positions of peer esteem within academia.

The journal is published twice-yearly and has run since 2003, becoming widely respected for making specialist research and analysis of radio and other audio media available to the expanding radio studies community and beyond. The present Editor have completed two periods in office, and the Editorial Board are now looking to establish an enthusiastic and committed editorial team to build upon the journal’s current success. The journal is in a very healthy state with the next two issues already programmed and further submissions ready for peer review. The editorial team is very well supported by staff at its publishers, Intellect, who have developed strong publishing procedures and an online submission system along with a strong commitment to marketing and distribution.
