Dear Colleagues

We are delighted to announce that the seventh edition of the Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education (JLDHE) is now live at www.aldinhe.ac.uk/ojs. Please do pass this link on to colleagues for whom you think it might be of interest. Issue seven includes a range of exciting new papers and case studies, as well as a book review. We think you will find the contents both stimulating and useful – and we are always grateful for feedback about any aspect of the JLDHE. We would like to extend special thanks to all our hard-working authors and reviewers, and to Natalie Bates and Susie Powell, the JLDHE copyeditors.

In the last issue, we reported that our editorial team had expanded, and in January 2014 we were able to have our first full editors’ meeting in one location. This gave us the opportunity to plan for the future development of the Journal. We will shortly release a call for a special edition to be published in November, which will take a particular look at ways in which learning development can be supported by the use of learning technologies. However, we accept papers for review at any time, and if you have material for publication that is not a fit for the special edition, you can still submit to the JLDHE; we aim to publish three issues each year from now on.

Best wishes
