Dear Gem listers, Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs: tools for providing a better service for children and young people http://bit.ly/CC_JunNews is being held on **Tuesday 15 July**. This course is ideal for those who have a remit for supporting children with a variety of learning disabilities, so if you need to build your confidence, understanding, knowledge in this area this is the day for you. What will I learn? ---------- This is a tailored and interactive course allowing plenty of opportunity for sharing with fellow participants. By the end of the session you will have: * Understood a range of learning difficulties and their implications * Understood the legislative & educational framework for SEN provision * Considered practical methods for supporting SEN children’s learning * Confidence to consider new ideas for activities and promotions Who will I learn from? ---------- Our expert trainer on this essential day is Anne Harding www.anneharding.net. Anne specialises in effective provision for children and young people in the museums, libraries and archives sector and in education and early years. She gives frequent courses on special needs provision.
