Dear colleagues, BLOOC (Bloomsbury Online Course) The BLOOC launched last week and we currently have over 200 participants, which is really fantastic. It's been so encouraging to see how actively people are engaged with the course by posting to the discussion forums and introducing themselves. Last week, participants were developing their use of Moodle by sharing and discussing ways of using audio and video within their own courses. Last Tuesday, the BLOOC hosted a webinar where colleagues from Birkbeck and SOAS demonstrated how they are using specific features in Moodle for courses in their respective Colleges. The webinar was attended by over 40 people in person; the recording, which is now available within the BLOOC, has also had many plays already. This week will focus on wikis, blogs and other activities that facilitate production and co-production among learners. The webinar takes place today (Monday 23rd June) at 1pm and features colleagues from the IOE sharing how they use these tools in their teaching.
