Tyrone,

The statistics available to users via tools such as the Course Reports only query the data in the activity accumulator table.
As a sys admin you can set how long data is held in this table, I think 180 days is/was the default, but many institutions may need to reduce this to keep the table a sensible size and not impact on performance elsewhere. There is a task that runs each night to copy old entries (e.g. those over 180 days) to a separate database - on the stats schema and then delete the corresponding entry from the activity accumulator.

As such, unless your system was either very new, or you had set a very brave limit on this parameter, I don't see how you would get results that far back. Note that is subtly different from using old dates in the search - you can look for logins 2-3 years ago in a course query, but you will always get zero matches.

Hi

I just noticed something irritating for me and our tutors, Blackboard can only run reports going back 180 days, so a tutor can not a report for the full academic year themselves from their course.

Is this true, or am I doing something wrong?

As that means if tutors want detailed course reports for the year, I am going to have to run them from ASR, for each course.

Any feedback welcomed, please

Regards

Ty
