> In an April 2014 workshop Bro Neil Mayers, Educator and Director of Best Pace Learning, skilfully and openly analysed the “Truth About Academy Schools” and deepened our knowledge, awareness and understanding through revealing uncomfortable truths about government privatisation, pupil exclusions; statistical manipulation and other issues impacting the achievements of our Afrikan children.

> Presenter: Bro Neil Mayers is the author of the education manual ‘Gifted At Primary, Failing By Secondary.’ He is a long standing educator and Director of Best Pace Learning. A former teacher, he has taught in state secondary schools in South London and also in Atlanta, Georgia, US, where his passion for, and investment in working with ‘bottom-set’ students, [Afrikan children labeled by the system and destined for failure] resulted in Bro Neil developing strategically conscious motivational and learning relationships with the children, parents and himself thus raising the achievements of our children. As Bro Neil says, “I wanted to teach the students to teach themselves… that way they won’t be dependent on how good the teacher is. They will be able to get whichever grades they want in the subjects they want.” His teaching experiences plus his interest in helping Afrikan pupils to succeed led him to become an educational consultant and later to collaborate with like-minded individuals to produce Afrikan history resources.

> Bro Neil currently travels the country giving presentations to schools, colleges, churches and community groups, dispensing essential tips and advice on helping parents to make their children A* students.
