Dear All, Apologies for cross posting… Barnardo’s currently has 2 part time vacancies within the archive: 2 x Archive & Administration Officer, Making Connections - Plaistow Job Ref: HO021 Area(s): London Based: Making Connections, 140 Balaam Street, Plaistow, London, E13 8RD Part Time 21.75 hours per week Permanent Salary: £17,586 - £19,593 pro-rata per annum + £1,794 Outer London Weighting (pro-rata). In this important role, you will be part of Barnardo's Archive staff, working to maintain, preserve and research the charity's historic archival collections. The archive team have a demanding workload consisting of a diverse range of assignments, each member of the team developing areas of specialism as outlined in the job description. There are two positions available; the first will initially concentrate on accessioning and cataloguing material into the Barnardo's collection. The second will focus on our Family History Service, providing information to descendants of former service users. Both positions require a well-developed level of organisational, administrative, analytical and IT skill together with the ability to work accurately with written historical records. Experience of cataloguing systems and working in a similar environment would be desirable.
