Dear colleague,
The webiste for the PTG meeting PLANT TRANSPORT 2014 can now be found at
www.ptm.psrg.org.uk. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. The deadline for registration is 26
th September. Please note that space is limited, so I advise registering early.
PLANT TRANSPORT 2014 will be held in Glasgow over Friday, 5th December – Sunday, 7th December 2014. Anna Amtmann and I will look forward to hosting you with what we expect to be a set of most stimulating sessions.
As in the past, the larger number of presentations will be drawn from offered papers, and the meeting will include an extended poster session. We encourage PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, especially, to participate. This year the meeting will include a selection of invited talks around the theme of Sysems and Synthetic Biology. We expect these presentations to ‘seed’ lively discussions and help to stimulate thinking in new ways.
Of course, we welcome offered papers and posters around this theme as well as in the general areas of plant membranes, transport, signalling, cell biology and physiology. Finally, we will devote a session, with speakers Dale Sanders and Mary Beilby, to the memory of Alan Walker and his contribution to the field of plant membrane biology.
Best regards,
Mike Blatt
