For the academic year 2014-2015 the Dept. of Statistics and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan-Bicocca admits 6 PhD students with scholarship (net pay: ca. €1028 per month) and 2 PhD students without scholarship for the PhD programme in Statistics and Mathematical Finance.

For students holding an Italian Laurea Magistrale or Laurea Specialistica the selection is based on the curriculum vitae, a written test and an interview.

Two PhD positions with scholarship are reserved for students holding a non-Italian Master of Arts (or equivalent) degree.

For all the prospective students holding a non-Italian degree, the selection is based on the curriculum vitae, two presentation letters written by scholars with research interests coherent with the PhD programme and a distance interview (conference call) with the candidate.

English fluency is a required prerequisite that is assessed during the interview.

Prospective students holding a non Italian degree should send their CV to Nicoletta Alghisi ([log in to unmask]) and let the two presentation letters be sent to the same address by their authors. The deadline is 5th July 2014. The candidates will be contacted after that date to fix a Skype interview.

Prospective students holding an Italian degree have to wait for the official call that will be published between July and August.
