This is a reminder that the IWMW 2014 event will take place at Northumbria  University on 16-18 July. This 3-day event will cost £350 which includes 2 nights’ accommodation (and note that the price has been kept fixed for the 3-day event since 2010).

Following the cessation of Jisc funding for UKOLN the event is now being organised by myself Cetis and Netskills. This year’s event is being more closely aligned with the interests of those working in institutional web management teams.  A summary of the various talks and sessions is available at [1].

As an example of how talks at the event are being more closely linked with challenges being addressed by institutional Web teams Hiten Vaghmaria, Head of Digital Development at the University of Westminster, has written a guest blog post on a subject he will be addressing at IWMW 2014’  a problem which all heads of departments will face: how they will allocate teaching, research and administration work to their staff [2].

The complete programme for the event is available at

http://iwmw.org/iwmw2014/programme/

Online bookings are available at

http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/iwmw-2014-tickets-11220295205

Note that the booking form has a link to “Show other payment options” which can be used by those who wish to be sent an invoice.

Hope to see you in Newcastle in July

Brian
