Subject: CARRINGTON EXTRACTS - Query No. 21 -THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT

In the 'Extracts' for 4 April 1900, Charles Carrington records "Posts 'Sin of Witchcraft' to the The Times". And in his biography of RK, p. 312, Carrington says that it "appeared in The Times in April". I cannot find it in The Times archive on line for April and May 1900. Lycett merely records that it was sent to The Times, as recorded in the 'Extracts', but says nothing about its actual appearance..

Query: was it ever published? Carrington described what it was - a non-fiction piece, attacking the disloyal elements in Cape Colony. It must have been something of a political 'hot-potato', and may well not have been accepted for publication, but since The Times seems to have taken anything by RK, pretty much without question, that seems unlikely. We (the Society) don't seem to have it listed among RK's works in the New Reader's Guide.

  Any information or ideas, please.
