AIIM research shows just 10% of organisations have a workable information governance policy | Intercooler

Silver Spring, Md., May 20, 2014 – Many organisations feel they are at risk because of a lack of information governance polices, according to new AIIM research launched today, with data lapses over the past 12 months sharpening focus on the security and privacy elements of information governance.

The survey of more than 500 business leaders revealed that although electronic records are “increasing rapidly” in 68 per cent of organisations, just 10 per cent of respondents have an information governance policy in place that is respected and enforced. 21 per cent have a policy in place, but it is mostly ignored.
