Hi All
Not overly impressed with the
title of College either which is why I have resisted making a choice so far. I
suppose it largely depends on what it will be; College, Faculty, Society and
what it is that makes those titles appropriate. The college most of us
know well is the RCN, and that’s a union – sort of – so what makes this
a college?
Not overly keen on College of
Occupational Health either to be honest. I get the impression that despite the
diversity Jisc, most of us are OH professionals so it’s an obvious choice but
if we want to include the allied health professionals, do we need to be a bit
more generic. I have also never quite understood how the title of
Occupational Health can have two words of such clear meaning yet be so
misunderstood by anyone not involved in it.

not liking the word ‘College’

you know the potential for a single organisation representing a
multidisciplinary occupational health is moving along and could be reality if
FOM and SOM members vote yes
In
preparation a name for the new organisation is currently being discussed – I
would love to hear the jisc members views on this so to collate responses I
have turned this question into a survey which I will collate and report back
as the favourite name.
