Re the Royal Charter, if you haven’t already done so you might like to take a look at what the British Occupational Hygiene Society has done. As a learned body they now hold a Royal Charter. The BOHS incorporates the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene, which is the professional organisation for occupational hygiene. As I understand it, members of the Faculty can apply to become chartered members.

 

I assume that the new organisation will need to create some form of track record first, but this could be something for the future.
