Apologies to those of you who tried the earlier faulty link,

Sarah

The Section of Public Health, ScHARR is advertising for a Research Fellow.  Post reference number UOS008451
This post is fixed term until 31 December 2018 with a working pattern of 60%.

Please pass on this information to anyone who you think may be interested.

This new, innovative post is part of the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC).
You will work closely with Dr Sarah Salway and Professor Liddy Goyder, as well as Local Authority partners and third sector organisations, to design and deliver a programme of research that addresses key priorities in relation to addressing health inequalities experienced by minority ethnic populations across the region.

This programme of work will be inclusive of patients and community members for whom English is not the preferred language of communication, necessitating cross-language working. This is a demanding and exciting role that requires a high degree of self-direction and an ability to progress work across a range of activities simultaneously. You will engage in a variety of tasks including: significant amounts of liaison, partnership and engagement work; preparation of research
proposals for submission to external funding agencies; and delivery of high quality research from conception to production of research outputs.

It is anticipated that interviews and other selection action will be held on 16 June 2014.
