Have you always wanted to make or help make a film about a subject close to your heart?    Well here’s an invite, which might appeal. 

The BECTU Freelancers Fair on June 6 gives you the opportunity to meet TV channel commissioners face to face to pitch your film ideas to them.    We can introduce you to some of the most influential people in TV.   In our Pitch Perfect "speed pitching" session, you meet channel commissioners to put your ideas direct to them.

You won't have long - 4/5 minutes at the most.   But they'll give you the benefit of their experience and you just might, if they like your idea, get a commission to make your film.   

This invite extends to people at all levels in the profession, beginners included.   The idea is to give people guidance and support to turn your aspirations into reality.   

If you don’t want to pitch, you can just turn up for the first part of the session to hear the commissioners talk about what makes a good proposal and answer questions from the floor.

The event is being staged at the Ravensbourne media college, next to  North Greenwich tube and the O2 Arena , in London on Friday, June 6.   Pitch Perfect begins at 11.45 am and runs until 1 pm.

BECTU, the trade union for the industry, stages the fair to help people progress their careers.
