This an open invitation to join ILIG at our next informal on Wednesday 11th June when colleagues from Partnerships in Health Information (PHI) will discuss the benefits of international collaboration in developing PAHI (Public Access to Health Information) in Tanzania. All welcome.

Title: Enhancing public access to health information through an Anglo-Tanzanian partnership

Overview: Emily Meshack and Charles Marwa are responsible for the development and management of the Health Corners programme in Tanzania. This programme is built on the previous successful  PHI partnership between Tanzania Library Services Board (TLSB), MUHAS, University of West London and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and aims to provide members of the public with access to high quality health information through the Tanzanian network of public libraries.  

Emily and Charles are currently visiting the UK as part of a Commonwealth Fellowship and will be engaging with health libraries of national importance to broaden their experience of health information in the UK. Their programme is being hosted by Lucy Reid at SLAM, where they will be based doing project work relevant to the purpose of their Fellowship.

ILIG Informals are not lectures; they are informal, but informative, early evening meetings with a short talk on a theme of international interest plus plenty of time for questions and networking. They are open to all and absolutely free.
