The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified information professional to join the team as a job share partner in the Site Librarian role providing library & information services to staff within the Trust.
You will manage all aspects of the Trust’s library service provision at individual sites: answering enquiries, training & supporting users, promoting the service, and developing and exploiting the collections. At St James’s University Hospital, you will work with Leeds University library staff to further develop our joint NHS-HE library service at that site. You will provide senior professional support to service users across all sites, and will play a significant role in the overall development of the Trust’s library and information service. You will also be involved in a number of cross-organisational projects as part of the ongoing citywide development of NHS library services.
You should have previous post-qualification experience in a library or information service, preferably in the public sector. You will need to have excellent communication skills, well developed IT skills, and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
