The [London] Evening Standard’s ‘Comment’ section (p. 15), of a couple of days ago, under ‘Great Danes are in virtual heaven now’, reports the following:-

 

“Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen! [. . .] The Danish government, in a fit of deranged Borgensian brilliance, has arranged for an absolutely faithful model of the whole country to be built in the computer game Minecraft on a scale of 1:1. [. . .] Is it imagined that virtual tourism will lead to – rather than discourage – the real thing? [. . .] Perhaps the answer is the same one that a videogame mountaineer would give to explain why you’d climb a virtual Everest: “Because it wasn’t there.””
