The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.

Library Services is embarking on an exciting phase of development during 2014/15 with a new library at the centre of the Ealing Campus under construction.

The Academic Support team now has two vacancies for full-time Librarians to provide teaching, learning and research support to staff and students primarily in the Ealing School of Art, Design and Media and the Claude Littner Business School. 

Each successful candidate will manage the resource budget, develop relevant resource collections and deliver induction and training programmes. S/he will work closely with the respective School to embed information literacy in the curriculum, as well as provide excellence in all aspects of enquiry and study support for students and staff.

The preferred candidates will be pro-active, forward looking, service-oriented individuals with a postgraduate library qualification or equivalent, excellent communication and presentation skills and experience of working in an academic library, preferably with relevant subject resources.

Some flexibility in hours of employment may be required during semester, teaching and exam periods when the post holder will be expected to work in the evenings and at weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

Please be advised that it is expected that appointments within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
