The University of Nottingham is undertaking an exciting and challenging programme of work to address issues and opportunities to improve students’ experience of the library, and academics’ experience as both teachers and researchers.  To deliver this change programme the Libraries, Research and Learning Resources (LRLR) Department is restructuring and recruiting a number of roles, both to strengthen its provision of services and to lead the development of new services to students and staff:

 

In the Research and Learning Services section:

 

·               Senior Librarian (Research Support) to lead a team developing new library services in support of research impact and dissemination.

 

·               Senior Librarian (Teaching and Learning Support) to lead a team redeveloping teaching and learning support in the context of teaching transformation.

 

·               Senior Librarian (Faculties of Science and Engineering) to lead strategic engagement and manage relationships with Schools in the Faculties of Science and Engineering, to ensure LRLR service delivery and development meet academic needs.

 

·               Senior Librarian (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) to lead strategic engagement and manage relationships with Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, to ensure LRLR service delivery and development meet academic needs and support academic relationships with the NHS.

 

In the Customer Services section:

 

·               Senior Librarian (Customer Services) and Librarian (Customer Services) to join colleagues in leading and managing our front line lending and enquiry services so that we deliver consistently excellent customer service.

 

In the Collections Management section:

 

·               Senior Librarian (Digital Library Support) to lead a team developing digital library systems and services.

 

In the Strategy and Planning section:

 

·               Student Engagement Co-ordinator to lead on library engagement with students, and manage activity which ensures that library services are designed,  developed and advertised in line with the needs of students.

 

·               Planning and Performance Co-ordinator to be responsible for: co-ordination of operational planning; service performance measurement and monitoring; and generating, collating, analysis and presentation of management information.

 

·               Senior Project Manager to establish, develop and help deliver a coordinated project management capability across the Department, and manage the programme for LRLR transformation.
