Hi Lina,

Thank you! - I certainly meant to include poster presentations, plus any other alternatives (no matter how ‘lo-fi’ !) - and posters are brill! I probably should also have said that I meant any form of alternative/mixed assessment for dissertation that is offered to all students (i.e. not just those with a disability)….

Hi John,

We have a number of programmes that use poster presentations in addition to the written dissertation project for undergraduates. Not exactly multimedia, but still good way to assess a lot of other skills as well.

Subject: dissertation question - informal research request

Hello all,

A quick question for some informal research going on here: Is anyone working with bachelor level dissertations where the assessment/submission mode is not wholly restricted to written ‘academic essay’ format? (E.g. perhaps includes use of multimedia such as film/blogs/video diaries/presentations etc?)

Many thanks!

John
