Conference Description:

This Conference aims to debate the themes of Claudio Pavone's landmark study on the Italian Resistance of 1943-1945, on occasion of the publication of the English translation (Verso 2013). Furthermore, it attempts to discuss new approaches to the study of the Italian Resistance, with a special focus on the relationship between partisans and the environment in which they operated (the subject of an AHRC project led by David Atkinson). The Conference brings together some of the most eminent experts of the Italian Resistance both from Italy and from UK.

The Conference is sponsored by The Association for the Study of Modern Italy and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Please note that this is a free event but there will be a £5 charge for lunch. Please confirm attendance and whether you wish to have lunch to Gian Paolo Ghirardini <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]><mailto:[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>>>
