Audiovisual content in education
Enhancing the learning experience with AV content: licenses, quality and value for money
Wednesday 25 June 2014, 11am-3pm,
Manchester (Cornerhouse) and
Thursday 26 June 2014, 11am - 3pm, London (The Geological Society)

Dear colleagues

Join us at a one-day conference to discuss and address the benefits of using audiovisual content in learning, teaching and research.

Taking place in Manchester and London, the conference will include demonstrations of BoB National, the BUFVC Box of Broadcasts, and how this service can enhance the teaching and learning experience, as well as information on other audiovisual resources from the BUFVC, Jisc and beyond.

Hear how lecturers engage learners by using audiovisual resources imaginatively in their teaching, and how library staff meet the needs of all learners with audiovisual content, which can also enable institutions to make significant savings

There will also be an update on the recent changes to copyright legislation in June 2014 and the impact on the Educational Recording Agency Licensing scheme

Come along to join the discussions and network with colleagues.

Book to attend

Tickets cost just £15 (to cover administration costs) and include lunch and refreshments.

"Audiovisual allows the learner to take more control of their own learning. Previously it's been done at the speed of the member of staff; audiovisual allows it be done at the speed of the student."
