Visual In-Sights: Theory, Method, Practice, 2014, brings together an international
community of established and emerging scholars, creative practitioners, visual
artists and arts-based, community project leaders who research, use and work with
visual materials and visual methods. Our plenary speakers, David Campbell,
Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen and Marcus Banks, lead a full programme of academic papers,
multi-media presentations, arts installations, exhibitive displays, films and
workshops which, individually and collectively, demonstrate the cutting edge in
research and practice around the multiple spaces of the visual, and which explore
the porous boundary between the theory, method and practice of the visual.

Panels will include:

· Visualising identities and becoming

· Embodying the visual

· Co-producing the visual

· Art and aesthetics

· Visual communication/communicating the visual

· Visual cultures and geopolitics

· Landscapes of the visual
