Dear Film community,


You are cordially invited to the book launch of the Directory of World Cinema: Brazil. The book includes sections on the history of Brazilian cinema, cinema novo, the recent retomada, as well as covering questions of gender, race and identity. It places Brazilian cinema within artistic debates relating to literary adaptation, comedy, music and the road movie.


The launch will take place at Birkbeck School of Arts,
