We are actively seeking a Global Technical Data Manager for an office based opportunity in the South, UK. Some flexibility to work 1-2 days a week from home could be possible for the right candidate!
This clinical research organisation is currently undergoing exciting growth plans within their Biometrics and Data Management team and there couldn’t be a better time to join them.
The present global Biometrics business provide expert data management, biostatistics and medical writing input at every stage of a product’s development. The highly skilled professionals, coupled with the customer orientated approach, allows them to deliver high-quality data and successful results.
In this role you will be a key component in building a team of data managers and clinical programmers. This is both a line and project management role and you will be managing 3 associates who are in place now, with the view to hiring 2-3 more into the team over the next 12 months.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Managing and mentoring a team of Technical Data Managers and Clinical Programmers in leadership skills, project management skills, company processes and project specific tasks
• Covering professional development, performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching of staff
• Overseeing resources and monitor productivity, timelines and quality of output
• Efficiently managing multiple projects ranging in size and complexity
• Proactively manage external relationships for assigned studies, including budget, and resources
• Independently function as a data management lead on one or more studies if required
• Supporting business development by participating in presentations and reviewing proposals
• Leading and contributing to regular team, data management and study meetings
• Preparing information for internal review and external review meetings
Experience Required:
• Educated to degree level or higher in Life Sciences or other related discipline
• Strong background in project management and staff management
• Working experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotech company
• Strong technical profile and understanding of EDC, database management
• Experience with programming systems for example: OC RDC, Medidata RAVE, Inform and SAS
• Excellent written and spoken English, and sound organisational skills
