Genetic Analyst

Switzerland - Bioinformatics - Biostatistics - Translational Medicine - NGS - Pharmaceutical - France - Germany

Paramount are currently in exclusive partnership with a world class client. We are offering a Genetic Analyst the opportunity to join their dynamic group currently at the forefront leading applications of human genetics in clinical trials. In this role, you will work alongside the translational medicine and development teams to apply revolutionary technologies to understand and predict clinical responses. You will be a significant component in understanding the application of genetic and genomic technologies and influencing regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities are as follows:

*             Performing association studies using genetic and genomic data, from a range of study designs, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) datasets
*             Interacting with clinical teams as well as global project teams and Biomarker Development
*             Designing and perform pharmacogenetic data analyses
*             Liaising with expert laboratories, scientists, statisticians, global project teams, and external key leaders
*             Writing reports and presenting data to internal stakeholders and project teams
*             Leading junior genetics analysts
*             Publishing key findings and attend scientific conferences

Experience and qualifications:

*             PhD in genetics or similar is required with experience performing genetic/genomic association studies
*             Strong background in genetics or molecular biology
*             Experience working with large datasets, including NGS data preferred
*             Sound background in biostatistics or statistical genetics
*             SAS programming, knowledge in R
*             Understanding of non‐GLP and GLP quality requirements
*             Ability to work well in a team environment
*             Excellent presentation and communication skills
